Industrial Oven Engineering
GCE SYSTEMS designs and manufactures industrial ovens tailored to special applications for industry, and for the Government. Each oven is custom designed to match unique needs. Considerations include the degree of automation required by the customer’s process, temperature control precision, safety, material handling, life cycle cost tradeoffs (capital cost versus operating expenses), and other variables that make for a successful industrial oven project.
Industrial Oven Project Management Controls
Working with the client’s process engineers yields a comprehensive solution that favors reliable outcomes in terms of project and equipment performance. GCE routinely provides end-to-end management of an industrial oven project including oven installation, commission, and training. Because of our global footprint, GCE typically helps clients with packaging, and transportation and import logistics.
Industrial Oven project management activities are formally scheduled so that critical path tasks identified and managed. Schedule control is a top priority, so departures from plan are quickly identified and mitigated to control schedule risk.
Industrial Oven Construction, Quality Assurance
GCE manufactures most of its products in our Willis, Texas factory. Engineering and design is also done in Willis, which makes overall operational control more efficient and reliable. In-house factory capabilities include working with all types of materials to cut, join, paint, and assemble equipment. Industrial Oven bodies are modular, using a combination of welded and bolted construction. The construction method eases transportation logistics, installation speed, and maintenance.
Industrial Oven quality is assured by invoking several strategies. During the design phase, a compliance matrix is used to verify that the design details meet technical requirements. Examples include construction methods and materials, performance, size, safety, environmental conditions, industry standards, etcetera). During the fabrication phase, in-process inspections are used to assure that workmanship and design standards are achieved. Final inspection is performed at the factory and again on site to verify fit ups, function, and performance.
Our quality systems are driven by our internal policy and procedures. In addition and when required by contract, GCE operates to the requirements of AWS and ASME Section VIII Division I per our ASME Code Stamp Certification, Symbol U.
