Scrubbers

scrubberA scrubber is a piece of pollution control equipment that removes harmful gases and particles from industrial exhaust streams. There are a few different options, when considering a scrubber:

Wet scrubber: A wet scrubber works by funneling the exhaust stream through the bottom of a packed tower and then it passes through an engineered packing, where a solution from specialized nozzles is sprayed counter-current to the exhaust stream flow.

Dry Scrubber: A dry scrubber works by combining carefully chosen chemical reagents with the exhaust stream at incredibly high speeds, that react with or absorb the compounds in the stream.

Ammonia Scrubber: An ammonia scrubber is a specialized scrubber, that works by funneling the ammonia laden exhaust stream through the bottom of a packed tower, which sprays a solution from specialized nozzles.

Venturi Scrubber: A Venturi Scrubber is a type of pollution control equipment that is used to remove contaminated particles from gaseous exhaust streams. A type of Wet Scrubber, the Venturi Scrubber uses Venturi technology, which has been used for over 100 years.

Common Industrial Applications:

  • Asphalt processing
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Oil & Gas
  • Landfills and Biogas
  • Coaters
  • Textile Processing
  • Tar Removal
  • Curing ovens
  • Vinyl Manufacturing
  • Acid mist control
  • Fertilizer Manufacturing
  • Wastewater treatment
  • Steel Processing
  • Electronics
  • Food processing
  • Cocoa Processing
  • Nuclear Waste filtration
  • Printing
  • Precious metal recovery
  • Etching
  • Wood Products
